Summary
This document describes how to handle an Envysion Camera(s) Offline ticket; it will list the hardware to check, as well as the basic troubleshooting involved in resolving this issue.
Envysion Network Video Recorder (EnVR)
Stores will either have a Tower/Desktop model...
...or a Rack model.
NOTE: Both can be identified by searching for the following items:
- White ‘Envysion’ sticker
- Blue light power button
- Some generations have a small LCD screen on the front.
IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch
This is where the cameras connect to the Envysion Network Video Recorder (EnVR)
Power Supply Unit (PSU)
The Power Supply Unit (PSU) provides power to the EnVR and it connected to a wall outlet.
Invid Analog Video Encoder (Hybrid/Analog Camera System ONLY)
The Invid Analog Video Encoder is used to connect analog cameras to the Envysion system.
Analog Camera Power Supply (Hybrid/Analog Camera System ONLY)
The analog camera power supply unit can be identified by looking for a gray/beige colored box. It will often have the brand ‘Altronix’ printed on the box
HOW IT ALL CONNECTS
(IP Camera Setup)
An Ethernet cable connects the Primary Ethernet port (Red) on the EnVR, to Port 35/36 on the Cisco Switch.
An Ethernet cable connects the Secondary Ethernet port (Yellow) on the EnVR, to Port G2 on the IP Camera Switch.
The cameras are connected to the IP Camera Switch at ports 5 - 12 (ports 1-4 are generally reserved for the Axis Sirens)

(Hybrid/Analog Camera Setup)
An Ethernet cable connects the Primary Ethernet port (Red) on the EnVR, to Port 35/36 on the Cisco Switch.
An Ethernet cable connects the Secondary Ethernet port (Yellow) on the EnVR, to Port G2 on the IP Camera Switch.
An Ethernet cable connects Port G1 on the IP Camera Switch to the Invid Analog Video Encoder.
Analog ports 1 - 16 provide connections to analog cameras and the Analog Camera Power Supply using RG59 cabling.

Solution
To solve Camera(s) Offline issue, do the following:
IP Setup
If only ONE camera is listed as being offline:
- Check the Ethernet cable on the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch that correspond to the camera name.
- Reseat the Ethernet cable on the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch.
- Confirm link light at switch port.
- Confirm the camera is now back online.
- If no link light, or camera still offline, have store confirm Ethernet cable is good.
- If cabling good and camera still showing offline, contact Envysion Support at 1-877-258-9441 (option 1), or by placing a ticket with Envysion.
If ALL cameras are listed as being offline:
- Confirm Envysion Network Video Recorder (EnVR) and IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch are powered on.
- On the EnVR, confirm the Primary Ethernet port (Red in pic) has an Ethernet cable plugged in and showing link lights.
- On the EnVR, confirm the Secondary Ethernet port (Yellow in pic) has an Ethernet cable plugged in and showing link lights.
- On the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch, confirm there is an Ethernet cable plugged into Port G2 (Yellow in pic) and showing link lights.
- If devices are powered on, cables secure and camera still showing offline, contact Envysion Support at 1-877-258-9441 (option 1), or by placing a ticket with Envysion.
Hybrid/Analog
If only ONE camera is listed as being offline:
- Check the RG59 cable, on the Invid Analog Video Encoder, for the corresponding camera.
- Reseat the RG59 cable on the Invid Analog Video Encoder.
- Confirm the camera is now back online.
- If camera still offline, have tech confirm RG59 cable is good.
- If cabling good and camera still showing offline, contact Envysion Support at 1-877-258-9441 (option 1), or by placing a ticket with Envysion.
If only ALL cameras are listed as being offline:
- Confirm Envysion Network Video Recorder (EnVR), the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch, and the Invid Analog Video Encoder are powered on.
- Confirm the Analog Camera Power Supply is plugged in and powered on.
- On the EnVR, confirm the Primary Ethernet port (Red in pic) has an Ethernet cable plugged in and showing link lights.
- On the EnVR, confirm the Secondary Ethernet port (Yellow in pic) has an Ethernet cable plugged in and showing link lights.
- On the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch, confirm there is an Ethernet cable plugged into Port G2 (Yellow in pic) and showing link lights.
- On the IP Camera Switch/PoE Switch, confirm there is an Ethernet cable plugged into Port G1 (Green in pic) and showing link lights.
- On the Invid Analog Video Encoder, confirm there is an Ethernet cable plugged into the LAN port (Yellow in pic) and showing link lights.
- On the Invid Analog Video Encoder, confirm the RG59 cable is connected to the Analog Camera Power Supply.
- If devices are powered on, cables secure and camera still showing offline, contact Envysion Support at 1-877-258-9441 (option 1), or by placing a ticket with Envysion.
