GC transaction declined with Cert not exist error.
Solution
To solve this issue, do the following:

The error “Cert not exist”, this error means the gift card is not in our database. This could be that the card comes from Canada to the US or vice versa. This also happens if the card is bought from a third party and is not put in our database.
- Have the manager verify that the card has a balance. They can call the number on the card or visit the website for this information.
- Have the manager record the card number.
- Close the check to cash.
- Have the manager contact Store Accounting via email. Include the card information and check information so they can update the redemption on their end.
