FSK Types

Description

Determining if it is a Type 1, Type 2 or Type 3 FSK when assigning to SPT for a replacement part other that the PC.

Solution

To solve this issue, do the following:

There are 3 different types of FSKs spread throughout our sites now, Type 1 and Type 2 and Type 3. Please see screenshots below. You will need to know which FSK the site has in order to request replacement items other than the Lenovo PC.

CEC now has 3 different types of Kiosks being sent out to locations.

It is very important that the locations know the type they have when asking for help or parts.

It can become very costly and time delayed when the wrong parts are requested to be shipped.

Some of the Key Internal parts that are different:

1. The touch screen is a totally different size, type and model.
2. Bill Validators are different, type 2 has a longer Throw in the bill stacker and a taller cash box.
   If a type 2 NV9 is placed on a Type 1 cash box it will damage the validator.
   There will also be a major alignment issue if they get ordered for the wrong type.

(the longer/taller will result in the location getting one too tall or too short if ordered incorrectly.

1. The printer is a different make and model:

Type 1 has an Epson printer

Type 2 has a Pyramid printer 

Type 3 has a Custom printer
